Once upon a time a girl came to a new town
And she took a look around
All she had was a pink lily and a bag
two knitting needles, a yarn and a snag

She walked about the town, but found no home
Then she sat herself down and rested under a dome
She knitted herself a pair of slippers
For her tired feet, with fancy zippers
She couldn't put her zippers in the dust,
So she knitted a mat, she could trust
But where would she keep her lovely mat
so she quickly knit a floor with a wise cat
​
However she could not sleep, for certain
Without knitting a window and a curtain.
She soon made a wall, and a lamp
she knitted a house with a ramp
Our Story
She felt a home is a home
Only if you're not all alone
So she knit a little boy and a girl
And together they would swirl
​
She knit flower and leaves
She knit birds and bees
She slowly made a knitting town that was rare
To which every passer by would stare
Slowly the little town knew fame
the little girl had made her name
Everyone asked her the secret of her success
She said the two needles and yarn
never left her side
while the pink lily was always her guide

Meet Ruchi
I'm Ruchi, Founder and Principal designer of ThePinkLily. Hailing from Meerut, India, a town noted for embroidery and craftsmanship, it was but natural for me to explore the world of needlework. my affinity to nature and its colours, and the skill of needle - work imprinted in my DNA, i found my calling. I decided to take this a step further with my education. Having completed my degree from the National Institute of Fashion Design specializing in Jewelry design, soon i found myself working with international brands like Oscar De La Renta, Lanvin, Ralph Lauren, Givenchy, HSN, J Crew and Prada through various export houses in the last 15 years. My team of highly talented craftsmen worked passionately to bring the designs on my drawing board to life.

There is a time in your life, when you decide to come forward and make your mark. ThePinkLily was thus born. My studio soon became my second home. A place where i'm at my creative best, a place which gives birth to beautiful jewelry.
